Il Poggio Legamè 2019 – Trasimeno DOC Trasimeno Gamay

The first nose is fragrant and floral and expresses aromas of violet, peony and wild rose. On the second nose, we find the profile completed by a touch of dried flowers (dried rose, dried cornflower), roasted (coffee, toasted), sweet spices (white pepper, liquorice) and undergrowth, wrapped in a concentrated fruity material (griotte, raspberry, crushed strawberry, dried raspberry, chocolate morello cherry). On the palate, the wine is round and delicious, with distinct notes of dark chocolate, licorice and mint chocolate, wild strawberry, black plum and morello cherry. We also find notes of vanilla and coriander seeds. The finish is sapid, with good bitterness, a distinct herbaceous side and a touch of black plum. The finish is persistent, with lots of freshness, lively acidity and energy.
