The nose is fruity, with fine depth and some density. There are notes of bright purple plum, cherry and more slightly raspberry combined with fine hints of black olive, cherry as well as discreet hints of sage and a subtle hint of liquorice and an imperceptible almost mocha. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, juiciness, freshness, and a slight restraint. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, fresh/pulpy plum and more slightly tart sour cherry combined with a fine hint of redcurrant and very discreet hints of camphor, star anise, black olive and a discreet hint of black pepper, a subtle hint of local grove on the finish/persistence.
