The nose is fruity, textured and offers maturity, a slight blackness. It expresses notes of fairly ripe wild blackcurrant, Morello cherries and – small notes of pulpy blackberry, combined with a touch of small red fruits as well as hints of violet, bergamot and slight hints of cocoa. There are also fine hints of dry local soil and a subtle almost peppery note. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, minerality, a fresh frame, juiciness, a certain tension, a certain purity and an almost clear/crystalline touch, racy minerality, purity. It expresses the notes of juicy/pulpy black cherry, bright cassis and small notes of crushed red berries, associated with fine touches of liquorice stick, black olive as well as fine hints of racy minerality, sense of place and clove. The tannins are fine, mellow, racy. Some softness and a good job on the good bitters at the end of the palate/persistence. Nice juiciness, freshness and brilliance of the fruit.
