The nose is fruity, spicy, a bit reduced. It expresses a nice ripeness, notes of fairly ripe wild strawberry, fairly ripe blackcurrant and small notes of dried cherry, combined with touches of cardamom, black olive, local dry subsoil, almost a very discreet hint of rosemary, as well as fine hints of anise and cubeb pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a tangy frame, minerality, good definition, gourmandize, tension, precision, aerial side, depth, a certain density, and great ripeness. It expresses the notes of luscious/juicy cherry, crushed raspberry and more lightly – quite ripe small black berries, combined with hints of quite ripe black plum, fig, black olive, chocolate, as well as nice hints of racy minerality, chocolate, a slight hint of warm olive, as well as hints of dry ground/local warm earth. The tannins are soft, gourmand and sapid. Purity and a nice definition in the mouth.
