The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is reserved and requires aeration. Then, it expresses delicate spicy notes: clove, nutmeg, a hint of toasted vanilla, a touch of toast, chocolate with mint, roasted bouquet garni (in the background), as well as a touch of iris and wild rose. The fruity aromas on the nose are ripe, even slightly jammy: we find notes of crushed strawberry, raspberry coulis, roasted red cherry, fresh morello cherry, elderberry, as well as a very slight hint of blueberry in the background. The mouth is firm, straight and chiseled. It expresses notes of crushed strawberry, raspberry coulis, redcurrant jelly, fresh morello cherry, crushed blueberry (in the background), associated with notes of chocolate with mint, toasted hazelnut, sweet spices ( nutmeg, liquorice, cloves) and dried rose in the background. The tannins are enveloping, velvety, with a fine grain. The finish is persistent and expresses a lively refreshing acidity, a delicate minerality and gourmand spicy and toasted hints. Complexity, power and fleshiness, all in balance.
