The nose is aromatic and offers gourmandise as well as power/intensity. It reveals notes of blackberry, blueberry, vanilla and caramelization associated with touches of red fruits as well as a touch of spices, Sichuan pepper and chocolate. The palate is mineral (racy minerality) and offers a slight suavity, a beautiful straightness, a certain finesse as well as freshness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of crushed redcurrant, raspberry and small notes of juicy/fresh cassis associated with a touch of violet, bay, licorice, tobacco as well as a discreet hint of spices and a touch of chocolate on the finish. Tannins are young and chewy. Good length. The finish is quite gourmande.
