The nose is fragrant and fruity. It offers notes of roasted red cherry, red plum, wild strawberry, morello cherry and blackcurrant, combined with touches of toast, cocoa, dark chocolate, roasted bouquet garni, dried mint as well as fine floral hints of rose and violet. On the palate, the wine is generous and supple. It expresses the flavors of black plum (fresh and in jam), morello cherry, roasted red cherry, raspberry coulis, wild strawberry and more slightly – blackcurrant, associated with notes of peppermint, roasted thyme, liquorice, bitter cocoa as well as touches of flowers (rose, lilac) and toast. The tannic structure is firm, quite powerful, grippy and a bit dry. Tangy and salivating finish. A wine with generosity and power.
