Herédias Touriga Franca 2021 – Douro

The wine has a deep ruby color, with purplish reflections. The nose offers precision, an expressive tanginess and pronounced notes of black plum and red plum, highlighted by a distinct touch of black pepper. We also find the aromas of morello cherry, red cherry, crushed raspberry and fresh red currant, as well as a touch of prunes, chocolate with mint and wild rose in the background. The palate is juicy, silky and fruity, with fine tannins, slightly grippy on the finish, salivating acidity and good bitterness. It expresses the flavors of fresh and tart red cherry, dried red cherry, blackcurrant, raspberry and cranberries, as well as a pronounced peppery touch, which we have on the nose, a hint of wild rose and dark chocolate with mint in the background. The finish is tangy, fruity and moderately persistent.
