Haut-Batailley Verso 2020 – Pauillac

The nose is fruity and offers a small concentration, a fine richness and a discreetly tight grain. It reveals notes of pulpy blackberry, ripe raspberry, small notes of small red berries associated with touches of fresh gravel, fresh violet as well as fine hints of lily, tonka bean, a discreet hint of racy gravel and a subtle hint of saffron. The mouth is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, a small flesh as well as a fine creaminess, juicy/pulpy flesh of the fruit and gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright cherry, juicy/pulpy blueberry, small notes of fleshy strawberry associated with touches of violet, lily, saffron as well as fine hints of fresh gravel, mocha, cardamom and fine hints of toasted/toasted hazelnut. A discreet hint of cacao on the persistence.
