Haut-Batailley Verso 2021 – Pauillac

The nose is fruity, fresh and discreetly restrained. There are notes of fleshy blackberry and, more slightly, pulpy strawberry, combined with hints of pulpy cherry, as well as delicate hints of violet, racy minerality, sweet spices and fresh tobacco. The palate is fruity and reveals juiciness, minerality, freshness, acidity, crunchiness and beautiful fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cherry, red currant and, more slightly, pulpy blackcurrant, combined with hints of violet, racy minerality, an imperceptible hint of sapidity, and a subtle hint of toastiness/spice. The tannins are sapid.
