The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers freshness and juicy fruit, combined with a fine herbaceous side (dried rosemary, fresh thyme, mint, fresh tobacco). It also expresses aromas of morello cherry, dried red cherry, dried blackcurrant, blackberry, black plum and tart strawberry, combined with distinct and tasty aromas of sweet spices (liquorice with a hint of star anise, a light touch of vanilla, nutmeg, white pepper). There is also a hint of dried flowers (dried rose, dried cornflower) and roasting (an almost imperceptible touch of toasted wood in the background, cocoa, toasted almond). The palate is enveloping, perfumed, silky and juicy. It expresses the flavors of ripe fruits (morello cherry, bird cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, dried red cherry), roasting (coffee, cocoa, toasted almond), liquorice, white pepper, dried rose, as well as dried thyme and tobacco. The finish is persistent and expresses a good bitterness of bird cherry, a hint of cocoa and a salivating and refreshing acidity. The tannins are tight, structured, slightly dry, but wrapped in a juicy fruity material. A wine with energy, structure and delicacy.
