Greenhill Vineyard – Tannat 2021 – Virginia

The nose is fruity and offers a fine power, a nice sweet spices side as well as a fine freshness. It reveals notes of violet, blackberry and small notes of nutmeg associated with touches of smoke as well as fine hints of wild cassis and sweet spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, suavity, a tangy frame, a small pulpy, a small fat, gourmandize as well as a mellow material. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed cassis, fleshy/juicy black cherry and small notes of concentrated raspberry associated with touches of crushed red berries as well as hints of vanilla, cigar and fine hints of vanilla in the background. Good length. Mellowness and a fine sapidity in the background.
