The nose is fruity and reveals some power, fine intensity, concentration and fine grain. There are notes of wild blackberry, crushed raspberry and more lightly star anise combined with hints of ripe blue berries, pepper, blackcurrant as well as a subtle hint of black tea, sweet spice, vanilla and a very discreet almost saline edge (in the background). The palate is fruity, balanced and offers minerality, juiciness/minerality, gourmandize, fine roundness, harmony, elegance, a certain purity of fruit, a little unctuousness, precision and tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy/pulpy cherry, fleshy/pulpy blackcurrant and, more slightly, raspberry, combined with hints of toasted almond, chocolate, as well as fine points of toasted hazelnut, bright blue berries, vanilla and a subtle hint of liquorice. The tannins are delicate, precise, smooth and fresh. Good length.
