Grand Vin de Reignac 2022 – Bordeaux

Grand Vin de Reignac 2022 – Bordeaux

The wine has a deep ruby color with purple highlights. The nose is dense and deep, with complexity and a beautiful freshness. It expresses aromas of fresh fruit (morello cherry, black plum, red plum, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, a hint of blackcurrant and roasted cherry), combined with distinct sappy and minty notes (fresh peppermint, pine needles), expressive spicy and toasted notes (liquorice, star anise, grated nutmeg, vanilla, toasted hazelnut, toasted wood, dark chocolate) and a fragrant floral bouquet (peony, lily, a hint of violet in the background). The palate is juicy, chiseled and flavorful. It expresses a juicy and fresh fruity substance in the flavors of morello cherry, crushed raspberry, sour red cherry, wild strawberry, black plum and blackcurrant, combined with herbal and minty touches (fresh wild mint, a hint of blackcurrant bud and fresh pine needles). We also find the bitterness of coffee, the toasted and spicy side (toasted wood, licorice, vanilla, tonka bean, toasted almond), a touch of dark chocolate and a lively and juicy fruitiness (morello cherry, raspberry, sour red cherry, crunchy strawberry, blackcurrant). The tannins are tight, firm, young, with a certain astringency that should disappear with time. Beautiful salivating acidity that balances the firm structure of the tannins.
