Girolate Despagne 2018 – Bordeaux

The nose is fruity, fresh, elegant, well-balanced and offers a small concentration as well as a fine richness. It reveals notes of fleshy cassis, fleshy Gariguette strawberry and small notes of juicy blueberry associated with fine hints of cornflower, liquorice as well as very discreet hints of caramelization and vanilla. The palate is fruity, precise, well-balanced, fresh and offers a good definition, gourmandize, an acidulous/fresh frame, juiciness, tension, a fine straightness as well as crunchiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crunchy/juicy raspberry, fleshy/juicy blackberry and small notes of juicy/fleshy cassis associated with small touches of fleshy/juicy strawberry, a hint of cornflower, lilac as well as discreet hints of liquorice. Good length.
