Gianni Dogha – Viti Vecchie 2019 – Nizza

(unfiltered) The nose is elegant, aromatic and offers a nice fine grain, intensity, harmony, complexity and a nice spicy edge. There are notes of bright wild cherry, fresh raspberry and more slightly blueberry combined with hints of clove, pepper and a hint of fresh blond tobacco. The palate is nicely fruity, juicy, nicely sour and offers freshness and a fresh/acidic frame. On the palate this wine expresses tart/juicy currant, crunchy cherry and more slightly fresh blackberry notes combined with hints of blackcurrant as well as blueberry, lily/iris and discrete hints of liquorice. The tannins are supple and sapid. Nice acidity on the finish.
