The wine shows a medium deep purple-ruby colour. The nose is dark, heady, smoky with notes of cassis, sweet spices, coffee and charred wood. The palate echoes the nose with the same wood profile. The fruits are masked by the intense smokiness. The overall massive structure is uplifted by the refreshing acidity. The tannins are grippy but polished and well-managed. The finish is envelopping and spicy.
