The nose is fruity and offers a little power/intensity coupled with a charming, complex quality. There are notes of boysenberry, crushed strawberry and more slightly raspberry combined with small touches of violet, fleshy blackcurrant as well as hints of lilac, vanilla and a subtle hint of toastiness. The palate is fruity and reveals juiciness, minerality, good definition, a flattering side, gourmandize, roundness, a fine creaminess coupled with a little airiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/pulpy wild blackberry, raspberry and more slightly crushed strawberry combined with hints of blueberry, violet as well as hints of star anise, liquorice, discreet hints of rose, light tobacco and a subtle hint of vanilla.
