The Thalassatis from Gaia Wines is an unoaked Assyrtiko, with vibrant lemon and orange rinds aromas as well as a decently textured minerality and saltiness. 2017 is showing great intensity and brilliance in the fruit expression as well as dense and ripe palate. The acidity is as high as it can get without turning to sour. Overall, the wine is still tight and has great aging potential.
