Gagliole Gallule Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2018

The wine shows a medium ruby garnet colour, slightly brightening on the rim. The nose is intense, herbal, with notes of sage, rosemary, garrigues underpinned with nuances of cherry compote, strawberry confit and a slight smoky and saline edge. The palate is powerful and dense, revealing a lot of concentration and depth. It opens up with notes of cooked cherries, roasted raspberries, a touch of balsamic and soya sauce, hints of dried Mediterranean herbs and roasted meat. A bold, powerful style of Chianti Classico with fleshy, voluptuous tannins and exceptional length.
