The nose is nicely fruity, fresh, with a certain concentration and a nice flesh of the fruit. It expresses notes of pulpy wild blackcurrant, small bright berries and more slightly – small fairly ripe fruits, associated with touches of cornflower, violet and discreet hints of fresh cubeb pepper and an imperceptible almost sappy hint. The palate is nicely fresh, suave, juicy, finely sappy, with good definition, delicacy and accuracy, a tangy frame, energy, a fine almost electric side. It expresses notes of juicy/fresh morello cherry, juicy/fresh raspberry and more slightly – pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, associated with touches of infusion, tobacco, star anise and a subtle hint of tea. The tannins are sapid and discreetly velvety. Good length, nice freshness, a subtle hint of cocoa in the background.
