Frescobaldi Tenuta Perano Chianti Classico Riserva 2018

The wine shows purple, almost opaque colour. The nose is dense and fruity, revealing notes of dark berries, prunes, a touch of noble oak, sweet tobacco, a hint of milk chocolate. The palate offers a lot of power, concentration and gourmandize. It displays a plethora of black fruits – cherries, plums, a touch of blackberries with some notes of prunes and figs, touches of cacao and cassis. The tannins are polished and well-managed and the finish lingers long with a sweet, decadent persistence. A modern style of Chianti Classico with a lot of smoothness and charm.
