The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is dense, concentrated and complex. It initially expresses a distinct but integrated tertiary side (tobacco, dry fallen leaves), combined with a racy minerality (a hint of limestone and dry stone, with a touch of graphite). After aeration, we find a tangy and chiseled fruitiness (red cherry, cranberries, morello cherry, red currants, raspberry, a hint of blood orange and dried blood orange peel), as well as a delicate toasted and spicy side (cocoa, dark chocolate, toasted almond, licorice, coffee, smoked pepper). The palate is juicy, full-bodied, yet fresh and tangy. It expresses notes of red cherry and cranberries on the attack, which are complemented by flavors of morello cherry, blackcurrant, red currant and dried raspberry. On the mid-palate, we feel the delicate tertiary side (tobacco, undergrowth, dry fallen leaves), toasted, spicy and chocolatey notes (toasted wood, coffee, dark chocolate, smoked pepper, licorice, a hint of nutmeg), as well as dried rose and dried cornflower. The tannins are chalky, powdery, solid, but fine. Beautiful salivating acidity and a mineral touch of graphite and dry stone on the lingering finish.
