The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is aromatic and expresses elegant floral notes (fresh rose, rose hips, peony, a touch of violet), herbs (fresh tobacco, fresh crushed mint, pine needles, a very discreet touch of blackcurrant leaf), sweet spices (white pepper, licorice, cumin), envelopped in a juicy fruity substance (bigarreau cherry, morello cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, blueberry), with a touch of roasting (toasted hazelnut). The palate is tasty, fruity and delicious. It expresses notes of juicy fruits (griotte, strawberry, raspberry, red plum, blueberry), associated with floral notes (fresh rose petals, fresh peony, rose hips, lilac), sweet spices (liquorice, white pepper, nail cloves, nutmeg), dark chocolate with mint, chocolate cherry, plum cream, as well as touches of wild mint, tobacco and pine needles (even pine sap in the background). The finish is long, fleshy and delicious: it expresses notes of dried cherry, chocolate cherry and nutmeg. The tannins are very fine and soft. Beautiful richness of fruit, complexity and suppleness. A full, gourmand and balanced wine.
