The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers a juicy and gourmet fruitiness. It first expresses the aromas of ripe morello cherry, red cherry, red currants and tangy strawberry, associated with toasted and woody notes of roasted hazelnut skin, mild coffee, fresh wood with a sappy hint in the background, sweet spices (licorice, a hint of clove), dried rose, fresh peony, as well as fresh peppermint and bergamot in the background. The palate offers tension, fresh and tangy fruits, as well as a very fine but firm texture of tannins. It expresses the flavors of cranberries, tart red cherry, fresh raspberry, tart strawberry and red currant, combined with slightly bitter roasted notes (roasted hazelnut skin, coffee), floral and herbaceous touches (dried rose, peony, dried peppermint, blackcurrant leaf in the background), as well as a hint of minerality (dry limestone) and spices (liquorice, clove) in the background. The finish expresses more the dry side of Tannins, balanced by a pleasant bitterness of chocolate and a salivating acidity.
