The nose is aromatic and offers concentration as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, ripe wild raspberry and small notes of plum associated with small touches of Sichuan pepper as well as fine hints of laurel, cornflower/violet and tea. The palate is juicy, well-balanced, precise and offers tension, a good minerality as well as an acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy bigarreau cherry and curnchy/acidulous plum associated with touches of crunchy raspberry as well as discreet hints of red berries, flowers, zan/liquorice stick and an imperceptible hint of dried tobacco leaf. Tannins are fine and well-built. There is a very discreet hint of ripe almond on the finish (bring a fine chew).
