Franchetti 2021 – Terre Siciliane

Beautiful fruity nose which offers well-controled/elegant intensity, precision in its power as well as deepness. We find notes of black cherry, quite ripe small red fruits and small notes of of cornflowers associated with touches of crushed redcurrants as well as fine/delicate hints of black tea, star anise, tonka bean and a subtle hint of sage. The palate is fruity, precise, tense and offers minerality, tension, an elegant structure as well as a beautiful suavity and delicacy. Stretched side in control/precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy violet plum, black cherry and small notes of fresh-roasted small red fruits associated with a hint of dry local undergrowth, tonka bean, violet as well as a discreet hint of black tea and hazelnut. Tannins are elegant, supple, suave and polished. Good length and persistence. A fine iodized side on the persistence.
