The wine has a pale ruby color. On the nose, it is reserved, but benefits from aeration. It initially expresses herbaceous and mineral notes (dried mint leaf, a hint of rosemary, a touch of graphite, dry stone, as well as menthol, which intensifies after aeration). Then, we find the juicy fruity notes of red cherry, morello cherry, ripe strawberry, as well as a touch of dried blackcurrant in the background, associated with a toasted-smoky touch, bitter cocoa, nutmeg, liquorice, and brewed tea. The palate is chiseled, tangy and straight, with a fruity, lively and slightly bitter attack – on notes of sour red cherry, bird cherry, cranberries, raspberry and dried blackcurrant). There is also a touch of cocoa, sweet spices (liquorice, nutmeg), rose petals, violet, as well as blackcurrant leaf, mint and infused tea. The tannins are fine, enveloping, supported by a salivating acidity. The good bitterness of grapefruit and bergamot with a smoky hint persisted on the finish, associated with a juicy touch of crushed blackcurrant. A precise and fresh wine, with a clear herbaceous touch, but pleasant and integrated.
