The nose is fruity, aromatic and offers concentration, a fine grain as well as elegance and a certain delicacy. It reveals notes of Boysen berry, bright cassis, small notes of bright strawberry associated with a touch of crushed redcurrant as well as fine hints of acidulous/pulpy plum, sweet spices, cardamom, sense of the place, toasted, discreet hints of cocoa, almond and a very discreet hint of vanilla pod (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced, very finely tight and offers an acidulous frame, juiciness, a certain delicacy, purity of the fruit as well as minerality and elegance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright blueberry, bright cassis, small notes of acidulous/crunchy blackberry associated with a touch of crushed redcurrant, thyme flowers, toasted, tonka bean, cardamom as well as a hint of tobacco, black tea, an imperceptible hint of rosemary and vanilla. Good length. Tannins are precise and structuring. A beautiful acidulous in the finish/persistence. A beautiful wine full of balance, control and marvelously combining power and delicacy.
