Fongoli 2017 – Montefalco Sagrantino

Fongoli 2017 – Montefalco Sagrantino

The nose is fruity and offers varietal freshness as well as a fine tension. It reveals notes of fresh cherry, fresh wild blackberry and small notes of fresh pepper associated with touches of spices and fresh local groves. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy and offers freshness, minerality, an acidulous frame, tension as well as a beautiful small roasted side in freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of roasted cherry, quite ripe blackberry and small notes of creamy blackcurrant associated with touches of cherry blossoms, fresh local grove / olive tree as well as fine herbaceous hints and a discreet hint of spices (in the background). Tannins are fresh and tense. A very discreet hint of chocolate in the background. A varietal freshness that leads. A good work on the good bitters in the background.
