Figliej 2018 – Canavese Rosso Doc

Figliej 2018 – Canavese Rosso Doc

Beautiful fresh, mineral and beautifuly racy nose that offers an elegant as well as a subtely velvety and harmonious grain. There are notes of wild blackberry, violet and small notes of wild small plum associated with touches of sense of place (local biotop), sage as well as subtle hints of roasted small red fruits as well as slight hints of verbena, tobacco and a subtle hint of Madagascar pepper. The mouth is fruity, mineral, fresh and offers suppleness in delicacy, a discreet aerial side in its structure as well as an acidulous frame. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/ acidulous cassis, juicy/ acidulous purple plum and small notes of smoke, sweet blond tobacco associated with touches of Zan, verbena/ sage as well as a subtle hint of fennel, toast and a subtle hint of toasted almond. Beautiful complexity. The wine needs to be decanted as it reveals itself slowly. A hint of good bitterness on the finish/ persistance. Supplness and voluptuousness. Beautiful persistence.
