Feudo Principi di Butera – Serò 2018, Insolia

The nose is fresh, racy and offers a lovely limestone cutting side and a certain vibrant side. It reveals notes of crisp apple, fresh lychee and small notes of juicy/fresh lemon, associated with fine touches of lemon blossom, a discreet hint of verbena, jasmine, as well as discreet, almost Riesling-like touches in the background. The palate is well-built, fruity , well-balanced, it offers a tangy frame, juiciness, energy, purity, precision and an almost crystalline side. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy lemon, quince and small notes of bright peach, combined with touches of bright brugnon, as well as hints of lemon blossom, a subtle, almost infusion-like hint and fine hints of juicy apricot. Good length. A subtle hint of lychee/fresh butter in the background. A subtle touch of tannins in the aromatics and structure on the finish. Notes of toasted almond.
