The nose is pretty, delicate, fresh, frank, deep and offers a delicate side in its power. It reveals notes of small delicate wild black berries, notes of black plums and small notes of small black fruits, associated with fine, almost roasted-elegant hints, zan, a discreet hint of balsamic, as well as a subtle touch of sage in the background. The palate is well-built, fruity, fresh, racy, delicate, frank, intense and delicate all at once. It offers subtlety, a tangy frame, minerality and precision. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/dense cassis, black plum, fine hints of cocoa nibs, as well as fine hints of tobacco, a subtle hint almost of tapenade in the background and a subtle hint of sense of the place. A nicely defined wine, with a lovely mellowness on the finish/persistence.
