The nose is fresh, racy and reveals minerality. There are notes of blackberry, nutmeg and, to a lesser extent, liquorice, combined with hints of wild red berries, a touch of tobacco, spices and a fine touch of clove and grey pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, balanced and offers minerality, elegance, gourmandize, nice definition, acidity, tension, freshness, roundness and elegance as well as precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cherry, tart/fresh raspberry small notes of juicy/pulpy blackcurrant combined with hints of peony, sense of place (local biotop) as well as fine hints of tobacco. Good length. Some straightness and firmness, but still very gourmet. A hint of mocha on the finish.
