Feudo Montoni – Passito Rosso – Terre Siciliane IGT

(2022 base) Lovely fruity nose, elegant, gourmand and offers a certain power. It reveals notes of morello cherry, frozen raspberry and small notes of red plum associated with touches of aromatic herbs as well as a subtle hint of lily and a discreet hint of apricot in the background. The palate is nicely mineral, elegant, fresh, unctuous, gourmand, all in accuracy and offers a beautiful fresh and tangy frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy purple plum, frozen cherry and small notes of strawberry jam associated with touches of dried apricot as well as a subtle hint almost of pineapple in syrup. The tannins are sapid, tasty and gourmand. A tannic side and a subtle chew on the finish. Good length. A discreet hint of rancio in the background.
