The nose is fresh, racy and offers some flinty/terroir quality. There are notes of crushed strawberry, crushed plum small notes of violet combined with a fine touch of camphor as well as discreet hints of nutmeg and a fine racy/earthiness. The palate is fruity and reveals juiciness, smoothness, a nice definition/purity of fruit, gourmandize, a very nice complexity and a fine tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, bright cherry and, more slightly, crushed plum, combined with hints of violet, camphor, a subtle hint of saffron (on the floral side), black olive, star anise, as well as a very discreet hint of mocha and racy flowers, and a subtle touch of cocoa. There is an imperceptible hint of sap in the background.
