The nose offers power, a fine intensity as well as a fine grain. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, ripe wild blackberry and small notes of wild raspberry associated with fine touches of caramelization, liquorice, very discreet hints of sweet spices as well as a subtle hint of fresh leather and rosemary/sage. The palate is fruity/well-balanced and offers juiciness, a mineral frame, a good definition as well as tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis, juicy/ripe wild red berries and small notes of bigarreau cherry associated with fine touches of zan as well as very fine hints of rosemary, thyme and a subtle hint of tobacco/dark chocolate. Tannins are structuring. A very discreet chew on the finish.
