Fenocchio Giacomo – Barolo DOCG 2017 Villero, Castiglione Falletto

Fenocchio Giacomo – Barolo DOCG 2017 Villero, Castiglione Falletto

The nose is fruity, racy and offers a floral hint. There are notes of raspberry, fresh strawberry and, more slightly, small ripe berries associated with small touches of lilac, purple flowers, a discreet hint of pepper as well as an imperceptible hint of sense of place and cinnamon. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, freshness, good definition, a certain gourmandize, a little fat and a fresh frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy cassis, raspberry and more slightly cherry, cherry blossoms as well as fine hints of tonka bean, almond and a subtle hint of tobacco. Good length. The tannins are relatively massive and polished.
