Fazio – Calebianche 2023, Catarratto – Erice DOC

The nose is fruity and offers a certain freshness, a lovely, fine marine/iodized side, white flower notes and racy. It reveals notes of quenette, white peach and small notes of fresh quince, associated with touches of white flowers as well as a subtle, almost sappy, almost beeswax-like hint and a discreet hint of iodine. The palate is fruity, juicy, sapid and gourmand. It offers a tangy frame, suppleness, gourmandise and a fine spicy side. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fresh mirabelle plum, gourmand nectarine and small notes of exotic fruit, combined with touches of beeswax, fine, almost buttery hints, as well as discreet hints of fresh apricot and zest. Good length. A nice sapid/iodized touch. Good persistence. A wine offering a lovely floral character on the finish.
