The wine has a medium-intensity ruby color. The nose offers tension, gourmandise, and ripe fruit. It expresses aromas of ripe morello cherry, roasted red cherry, crushed raspberry, dried cranberry, as well as a hint of tobacco, dried peppermint, nutmeg, cardamom, liquorice, roasted bouquet garni, roasted meat, toasted hazelnut, cocoa, and a very slight hint of wet leaves in the background. The palate is juicy, open, fruity, and tangy. It expresses notes of dried red cherry, tangy morello cherry, raspberry, cranberry, as well as wild mint, blackcurrant leaf, licorice, crushed cardamom, and nutmeg. There is also a hint of fresh tobacco, tea leaves, the bitterness and smokiness of bergamot, and a hint of cocoa bean. The tannins are solid, straight, with a fine grain, combined with a salivating acidity on the persistence. Energy, verticality and good aging potential.
