The wine shows a deep ruby garnet colour with a garnet rim. The nose is dense and concentrated, revealing notes of confit cherries, kirsch, a touch of spices and dried herbs, some hint of iron and blood. The palate is juicy with a nice fruit concentration and a pleasant salinity. The wine reveals notes of ripe red and black cherries, some cranberries, a touch of forest floor and underbrush, notes of sage and rosemary. The tannins are polished but well present and pronounced. A juicy, lingering finish.
