The wine shows a pale ruby-garnet colour. The nose is intense, very fresh, opening up with notes of eucalyptus, macchia, fresh strawberries and raspberries, as well as nuances of iron and blood. The palate is slightly muted and lacks depth and concentration. There are notes of fresh red berries combined with nuances of dried herbs and savoury spices. The tannins are slightly drying and the finish is warming, spicy but short.
