The wine has a pale ruby color with garnet reflections. The nose is reserved, but opens better after aeration. It expresses notes of tangy fresh fruit (bigarreau cherry, raspberry, strawberry), candied cherry, crushed wild strawberry, crushed blackcurrant, crème de cassis, as well as a fine spiciness (liquorice, crushed coriander seeds, nutmeg, clove), chocolate with mint, dried rose, dried peony and integrated tertiary notes (undergrowth, a very delicate touch of truffle, wet leaves), dried rosemary and dried thyme. The palate is juicy, airy and silky, gourmand and fruity. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, fresh morello cherry, wild strawberry, crushed blackcurrant, crème de cassis, raspberry coulis, prune cream in the background, combined with notes of sweet spices (liquorice, toasted vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg), cherry in chocolate, sweet coffee, cocoa, chocolate with mint, dried rosemary, thyme, dried rose, as well as notes of development: undergrowth, tobacco, infused black tea, damp leaves and wilted rose. The tannins are polished, with a fine and melted grain. The finish is persistent and warm (slightly kirsched), with a nice acidity and a powdery hint of cocoa. An airy wine, complex and juicy.
