(organic) The wine has a pale garnet color. The nose offers depth, savory notes of roasted meat and smoke, a racy mineral framework (limestone, dry stone), some spices (liquorice, cardamom box, nutmeg), as well as a touch of cocoa, tobacco, crushed peppermint and dried rose. The fruit is ripe and gourmand, with some roasted notes (crushed morello cherry, roasted red cherry, blackberry, crushed blueberry and wild raspberry). The palate is intense, tangy and lively. The attack expresses notes of red cherry, morello cherry, cranberry, raspberry, as well as a bitter and tannic hint of wild cherry. There are also notes of licorice, white pepper, nutmeg, smoke, tobacco and cocoa nibs. The tannins are firm, grippy, even astringent. The acidity is sharp and mouthwatering, balancing the tannins. The finish is persistent, savory, chocolatey, and smoky, with a hint of dried rosé and dried herbs, as well as blackcurrant leaf.
