Fattoria dei Barbi 2021 – Rossi du Montalcino

The nose is fruity and offers concentration, a small straightness as well as a certain power in elegance and precision. It reveals notes of boysenberry, wild small black fruits and small notes of fresh eucalyptus/olive tree associated with touches of small wild flowers, fresh pepper and a discreet hint of tobacco. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, an acidulous frame, precision, tension, minerality, elegance, creaminess as well as sapidity/a saline side. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, crushed red berries, raspberry and small notes of balsamic, eucalyptus/menthol as well as a hint of rosemary, toast and sweet spices (in the background). Good length and sapidity.
