Fattoria dei Barbi 2021 – Brunello di Scansano

The nose offers elegance, a certain concentration and offers a relatively mellow, powerful and finely tight grain. It reveals notes of blackberry, violet and local dry soil associated with slight hints of eucalyptus, olive tree, thyme flowers as well as slight hints of quite ripe / pulpy red berries and a very discreet hint of fresh tobacco. The palate is juicy, fresh, elegant, mineral and offers delicacy, precision as well as a small tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fresh/juicy blackberry, violet and ssmall notes of thyme flowers associated with touches of rosemary, hints of blueberry, olive tree as well as a fine hint of saline, chocolate and sweet blond tobacco. Nice supple and mellow tannins. Beautiful persistence.
