The wine shows a deep, almost opaque ruby colour. The nose is exuberant and intense, revealing a lot of smokiness, notes of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, a touch of black pepper and liquorice. The palate is dense, powerful and heady with robust, muscular tannins and massive body. The palate mirrors the palate with a lot of spiciness and oakiness, underlaid by notes of red and black cherries, plums and bramble, combined with nuances of tobacco and dried herbs. The finish is warming, powerful, peppery, showing a lot of concentration.
