The nose is fine, powerful and offers a good structure as well as a slight freshness. It reveals notes of fresh cassis, fresh raspberry and fresh red berries, tobacco, spices associated with a very discreet hint of violet / flowers, gray pepper as well as a subtle / discreet hint of bell pepper (in the background), very discreet hints of nutmeg and cardamom. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced, slightly crunchy and offers a beautiful juicy fruit, roundness, a good freshness as well as silkiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis, fleshy / juicy raspberry, fleshy blackberry, cassis jelly and slight notes of cherry associated with subtle touches of redcurrant, very discreet touches of cardamom. There are a very discreet touch of dark chocolate and a very discreet touch of coffee on the persistence. Tannins are fine and beautifully silky. Good length.
