Fabienne et Benoit Godon-Reverdy, Domaine de la Garenne, La Billette 2022 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The nose offers concentration, gourmet, honeyed and fruity notes. It expresses the aromas of flower honey, white melon, white peach, apricot, green plum, as well as green apple, crushed lemon and grapefruit. We also find scents of white flowers (dried lime, acacia, apple blossom), candied lemon peel and orange in the background, combined with a touch of fresh hazelnut, toasted hazelnut and limestone. The palate is vertical, chiseled and tangy. In the attack, it expresses notes of crushed lemon, grapefruit, green apple, white peach, tangy apricot and passion fruit. In the mid-palate, the wine expresses notes of white flowers (apple blossom, acacia), fresh hazelnut, honey and limestone. The finish is quite persistent, with a lively acidity, a mineral touch and a gourmand touch of apricot on the persistence.
