Ettore Germano Prapò 2021 – Barolo

Ettore Germano Prapò 2021 – Barolo

The wine has a pale ruby color, bright, with slight garnet reflections. The nose is elegant, perfumed and airy, with a beautiful complexity. The first nose expresses the gourmet notes of fresh ripe fruits and roasted fruits (wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, morello cherry, roasted red cherry, roasted raspberry), associated with a chocolatey and tangy hint of cocoa nibs. The second nose offers herbaceous and floral freshness (with a dominance of peppermint, associated with rosemary, a hint of fresh thyme, fresh rose and peony), as well as sweet spices (liquorice, nutmeg, a hint of cardamom). The palate is refined, more open in the middle than in the attack. It expresses notes of fresh fruit (red cherry, cranberries, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry), combined with spicy flavors (liquorice, nutmeg), herbaceous notes (pine needles, peppermint, rosemary), floral notes (fresh rose, peony) and a hint of roasted bitter almond and coffee, which brings a good bitterness. Tannins are structured, enveloping, but fine. Beautiful acidity with freshness and energy. The finish is persistent, tangy, with lemony, smoky and bitter bergamot notes. A solid and elegant wine.
